Sword & Sorcery has always been a fertile ground for the more lurid elements of fiction. Beefcake men,

nightmarish monsters, and lustly wenches made for incredible tales.

From the original Conan the Barbarian stories, to 80’s classic trash like The Beastmaster

or The Sword & the Sorcerer, up to today’s Game of Thrones.
Enter “The Witcher”, a Polish novel series by author Adrezej Sapkowski. Filled with a combination of classic fantasy tropes, but filtered through the lens of Eastern European folktales and legends, It tells the tales of Geralt of Rivia, one of the last of his kind, a man altered by witches with potions and magic as a child to become a monster-killing machine. Shunned by society as a freak, his services are still needed to keep humans safe from the monsters without and within. And while gold is plenty of reward, his gruff exterior, as well as his infertility and immunity to sexual diseases does make him a favorite of plenty of women.
The rights were picked up by CD Projekt Red, later of “CyberPunk 2077” fame, who released it in 2007. Working on an early BioWare engine, they put together a sprawling story that was a sequel to the novels. My review is based on the Enhanced Edition, which has had most, but not all, of the censorship of the original North American version removed.
Of course, that does beg the question, do you need nude mods for a title that does have a lot of sex in it already? And the obvious answer is, Yes,
“yes”

Because for all the times Geralt manages to bed various women, it’s still an ‘M’ rated game and many of the scenes which would have been standard for an R-rated sword and sorcery movie end up fading to black. So to correct this oversight, I installed these mods into the game.
First up is “Nude Patch for Triss Ada Shani” by Felldude. This mod changes the models for the three characters of Triss Merigold, Princess Ada & Shani, the medic.
“Not to be confused with Shani from Saints Row.”
Well, that’s Shaundi.
“Oh, close enough…”
The skins do look really good, but have a slight problem, because there were changes to the Enhanced Edition which breaks this mod slightly. Some scenes work fine, but others, the women look like they are t-posing.
“Ha, Ha, Ha! ‘Look at my boobs’.”
If you don’t want them naked all the time, but only during certain scenes, just install the textures and not the meshes. Unfortunately, this is the only fully nude mod I can find for these characters, otherwise, there’s a few see-thru nighty mods available.
“I like the see-thru nighties. They’re sexy. Check them out.”
Speaking of see-thru, we have “TW1 – Vesna See Through Dress and Retexture” by LordMaximStark. Vesna is the waitress at the Inn on the outskirts of the city of Vizima and a potential sex friend of Geralt’s.
“Just sex friend…sexy friend…sex friend.”
But this goes above and beyond just altering her clothing. Her coloring is now much darker, from her clothing to her hair color and her make-up. A very interesting take, IMHO
“HD Dryads” by mcdyn, who’s work we perviously saw in “Mass Effect Andromeda”, is the last of the character model changes. These remove the leafy coverings of the various Dryads in the game, giving them an even more seductive appearance.
“Ohhhh, looks at my…leaves. Oh, such pretty, pink petals. If you rub them the right way, they turn red.”
On top of this, there are some changes to the coloring of the Dryads, giving them a more blue-ish tint.
Next up is the “Witcher I Card Painting Pack” by Mar044. This is a collection of the same cards that you collect for sleeping with the various women in the game. These are the less censored versions from the original game, plus it also contains images from a Polish edition of Playboy’s spread on Triss.
“Wait, wait, wait. Playboy did a spread on Triss?”
Yes.
“Like the character?”
Yes.
“From the game?”
Yes.
“Huh.”
Speaking of the Playboy spread, one of the images is used in the mod “TW1 – Hot Board 2” by AWP3RATOR, which changes up the Dice Poker board artwork. This is one of several mods that do this, though from the looks of things, many of them use images from later Witcher games. The original “TW1 – Hot Dice and Board” by LordMaximStark also uses artwork from the same Playboy spread.
Going back to the collectable cards, some of them are used to liven up your inventory screen with “Artistic Storage Container Backgrounds” by snfonseka. This will allow you to beautify your game with a choice of three different backgrounds. If you’d like something a little more high resolution, “Sex Card Storage Container Background. AI Upscaled” by MoR_0 lets you chose from all of the cards you might want use for your backgrounds, as well as making them higher resolutions as well. Plus, if you just want the art, an image-only download is available as well.
“My, look at my beautiful chests.”
And to round things out, how about adding in some of the sex scenes that got blurred or faded to black in the game with “New Video with Triss” and “New Video with the Dryad in the Druid Grove”, both by Zues on nudefix.de. These replace the fadeouts of the sex scenes with animated videos and the Dryad also gets a new sex card as well. The only drawbacks are that these renders are a bit primitive, but still on point.
If you’d like something more comprehensive, there’s “Witcher’s ultimate sex experience” by Alex Wild, which inserts 24 sex scenes during the times that Geralt is supposed to be having sexy fun time.

This is also not the only mod that has this amount, as there is also “New Herald Date Videos” by Bob Killer2, which uses videos from Witcher 2 & 3. These last two mods tend to use the characters as seen in the later games and some of the language is in Eastern European, not English, so your mileage may vary.
So that checks off several of the adult mods available for the original Witcher game. Given the number of mods made for the later games, this will not be the last time we’ll be checking in on Geralt, Triss, and the rest.
