Refunded Video Games
I've just done something I've never done before. I asked for a refund for a game on Steam. The game is called "Ten Tek" and I'd gotten it on a December Steam Sale and just tried to played it an hour ago. Now, most of the time, I will just eat it if a game isn't good. I tend to buy a lot of games on a discount anyway, so a few bucks here or there I figure is just the cost of doing business, as it were. But this game was so sloppily done that I couldn't stand the idea that someone got any money off me.
Here's the problems:
- No list of controls or any settings whatsoever. I had to guess to figure out how to move.
- Characters frequently clipped through floors & furniture. One couple that was have sex, every time I came back to the room, they were further into the bed. Another woman originally sitting on the bed ended up on the other side of the bed and mostly through the floor.
- Outside of the humans, there were birds flying around that ignored any boundaries and flew in and out of rooms.
- Ability to grab things was finicky. Sometimes you could do it further away, other times, you had to be right on top of it.
- Still don't know how to get USB keys out of locked rooms. Can I manipulate door handles? No idea.
- It used AI art. Only for the nude photos (and the title screen), but they are ugly on top of everything else.
Oh, and it crashed while I was playing and required a CTRL ALT DEL to get out of it.
